About

I worked as a Creative Copywriter at HP from March 2025, within the UK Strategy & Operations team. My role involved producing brand-aligned content across social media, email campaigns and wider marketing initiatives, supporting projects across Print, PC and Gaming. A key focus was the HP Tech Takes project, where I collaborated with AI platforms to create content for SMB decision-makers in the “Messy Middle” of the buying journey. This work contributed to over £900K in production savings and 6.1M+ content views in 12 months. Further results and performance insights are outlined below.

HP Tech Takes
Project Overview
A key area of my role as Creative Copywriter at HP was working as Content Lead on a digital innovation project. The process focused on utilising AI tools to support with content production, targeting SMB decision-makers in the “Messy Middle” of the buying journey.
This project involved creating content for Quora and Reddit, as well as blog posts for the HP website. We developed the HP Tech Takes identity as a collective of tech experts, publishing under dedicated accounts to support customers by responding to their questions online. To build trust and relatability, I posted under four pseudonyms, personifying the content and helping users feel more connected to the brand’s voice.

Blog Posts
As part of the HP Tech Takes digital innovation project, I wrote blog posts for the HP website covering both Print and Personal Systems (PS) topics. These articles were published under pseudonym profiles to align with the personalised, expert-led tone of the HP Tech Takes brand, helping to build trust and relatability with SMB audiences. Each post was optimised for SEO through the strategic use of researched keywords, clear metadata, and structured formatting using H2 and H3 headings to enhance readability and search performance. I ensured that the content was informative, accessible and aligned with the customer journey, supporting users in their decision-making process while reinforcing HP’s authority in the tech space.

Quora Posts
As part of the HP Tech Takes digital innovation project, I collaborated with an external AI agency to identify Quora queries aligned with high-intent keywords, allowing us to promote relevant HP products to SMB audiences. Our focus areas included laser printers for small businesses, AI-powered PCs for Personal Systems, and the OMEN range for gaming. I used AI tools to craft personalised, helpful responses that addressed each user’s query with clarity and relevance, ensuring the content felt genuinely supportive, with product promotion as a secondary benefit.
Each answer was signed off using one of four pseudonyms to reinforce the HP Tech Takes identity as a community of approachable tech experts. I posted directly to Quora using jump ID links to guide users to targeted product landing pages, and included links to related blog posts I had authored. This strategy contributed to over 6.1 million views in 12 months, demonstrating the success of our customer-first approach and the vital role of copywriting in delivering meaningful engagement. Examples of these Quora responses are available below.

Reddit Posts
For Reddit, I applied the same strategic approach as Quora, working with the AI agency to identify high-intent queries related to Personal Systems and gaming, particularly around AI PCs and the OMEN range. I crafted personalised, solution-focused responses using AI tools, ensuring each post addressed the user's needs while subtly guiding them toward relevant HP products and blog content.
To extend the reach of our content, I created a dedicated subreddit, r/hptechtakes, where I republished adapted versions of answers that had been removed or where comment threads were closed. This allowed us to preserve valuable content and maintain visibility across the platform. The subreddit also reinforced the HP Tech Takes identity as a trusted, expert-led resource, helping to build a consistent presence and deepen engagement within relevant tech communities. Examples of these posts are available below.

Email Marketing
As part of the HP Strategy & Operations team, I collaborated with a senior marketing expert to deliver an always-on email campaign targeting a range of audiences—from SMBs to universities and large-scale office environments. My role focused on crafting tailored email copy for a variety of products, including HP printers, Z by HP workstations, and AI-powered mobile devices and laptops. I applied best practices in email copywriting, including compelling subject lines, clear calls to action, audience segmentation, and tone adaptation to suit different verticals.
In addition to writing and refining the email content, I contributed to A/B testing strategies to evaluate performance and optimise open and click-through rates. Each email was designed to drive engagement and guide recipients toward relevant landing pages, supporting both brand awareness and the sales journey. This project strengthened my ability to write with precision and purpose, adapting messaging to meet the needs of distinct professional audiences while aligning with HP’s broader marketing goals.
