About

Live Well Festival is a fictional fundraising event I created for my university dissertation, which focused on producing a portfolio of professional writing for a chosen outlet. The event is hosted by mental health charity LUNAR, which I developed to reflect values I personally support. I chose a festival format as it appeals to the charity’s target audience and is inclusive for all ages and abilities.
The project aimed to establish the festival’s presence across social media platforms such as Instagram, X (Twitter) and YouTube. I built a strong brand identity through engaging visual and written content. I also designed a website with professional copy to communicate key event details and benefits. To extend its reach, I produced media materials including a press release, interview and review, presenting the festival from different journalistic perspectives.
This portfolio brings Live Well Festival to life through creative writing and a consistent professional tone across all platforms.

I designed the Instagram page for Live Well Festival in line with the brand's theme and maintained a positive and engaging tone across the various post styles. These creative decisions helped to create a sense of community and credibility for the event and developed an identity for Live Well Festival online.

I constructed the Twitter page for Live Well Festival as a platform to share time-sensitive updates with ticket holders, as well as promote the event through the use of short-form copy. Making use of additional features of the app including supporting images, retweets and QR code sharing helped to diversify the ways in which the target audience could engage with promotional copy.

I produced a promotional video for Live Well Festival to be published as an advertisement on YouTube. I created this by utilising my video editing and writing skills to showcase the festival's features to the target audience and visually encapsulate what they could expect from the experience.
I designed the Live Well Festival website with the intention to showcase the spirit of the festival through the use of punchy and engaging headlines and relevant keywords for improved readability. The website served as the ideal platform for outlining specific details regarding the event and the compelling copy which I wrote created a sense of credibility and brand identity for Live Well Festival.
This is an interview with LUNAR's founder Nadia Daniels by mental health magazine Breathe, which outlines the intentions behind Live Well Festival and what to expect from the event.
